New Jersey Mouse Control

If you have mice affecting your home, business, or exterior property you have come to the right place for professional help. We are professional mouse trappers technicians. All Stages Pest Control main line of work is to eliminate mice that enter into man made structures. Some examples are: Female mice that den up to have there young in an attic, wall, or crawl space. Mice may possibly enter a wall cavity or ceiling where they bare there young. As the young mice develop they will chew on electrical wires causing wire shortages or electrical fires.

Mice will enter structures all the way through gaps or holes at the exterior of the building to bare there young, and sometimes die causing tremendous odor problems and contaminating the inside of a building. Mice like rats, will often infest a building for years causing the building to go down its value, while creating health problems.

DO Mice Pose a Health Risk?

Rats and mice spread diseases. These diseases can be spread to humans directly, due to handling of mice, through contact with mice feces, urine, or saliva, or through bites. Diseases carried by mice and rats can also be spread to humans indirectly, through ticks, mites or fleas that have fed on an infected mice and rats.

At All Stages Pest Control, we use the most current mouse trapping techniques, clean up, and block out methods. If you have a mouse problem, contact us or give us a call to hire our professionals.

Identifying Mice in New Jersey

The house mouse is really tiny, only about 2 inches long and has very large ears, a small pointy nose and little black beady eyes. They are commonly grey or brown in color, but some may be darker. They have a distinctive tail with obvious scale rings. Well-known for their ability to cause a great deal of  trouble and damage in resident and commercial structures, mice are considered to be one of the most economically significant rodents in the country.

Thought to be the largely common mammal resident in urban areas aside from humans, mice can be found in every America state, as well as the outskirts of Alaska and in southern parts of Canada.

Highly adaptable creatures, house mice live nearly anyplace they can find shelter and food, including inside and around homes, farms, commercial establishments, on agricultural lands and in open fields. Though there are incidences where mice live far away from human populations, colder weather often causes mice to find their way into structures looking for shelter and food.

New Jersey Mouse Biology

The female house mouse reaches sexual maturity in 35 days and averages 8 litters per year, each of which averages six young.  Thus, with 30-35 weaned mice per year, populations build up rapidly. They typically produce their largest litters in the spring, depending on climatic conditions and start to breed at five to six weeks of age.  The life span is one year.

New Jersey Mouse Diet and Feeding Tendencies

Commonly considered nibblers, house mice will eat all types of food, however prefer seeds and grain. In general they aren't picky and commonly try new foods, sampling nearly anything in a new environment. These little rodents will eat anything but if they can get their hands on cereal or anything sweet they will destroy your cupboard.

Unlike most rats, house mice have the ability to live on very little or no water, however they will readily drink water where ever it is within reach. In large part, mice get water from the food they consume. Because of this, it is possible that an absence of water or food that contains enough moisture within their environment will reduce their breeding potential.
